Doula Jenn is your Loudoun Natural Birth Center doula. Following is some information about the birth experience offered at this location.
Monitors available: Hand held doppler available
Birth balls: Yes
Peanut balls: Yes, small size
Parking info (free/paid, onsite/offsite etc): Free in front, says decal only but let the staff know and they will notify security.
After hours entrance: Currently not staffed full time, alternate is The Birth Inn. If you call your midwife ahead of time they can meet you there.
How to get to L&D: Same entrance
Visitors policy: All are allowed. Extra family can sit in the family room.
Doulas allowed in triage: No triage, doulas are welcome.
Tubs: Yes – beautiful soaking tubs
Birth Stool: Yes
Food: You must bring all your own food with you, as they do NOT supply any sort of food.
Water births: No but you may labor in the tub and deliver right outside it.
Photography allowed: Yes but have to sign waiver and limitations.
Video allowed: Yes but have to sign waiver and limitations.
How many allowed in room for birth: As many as the mother would like.
Oral Vitamin K: No
Doulas in OR (keep in mind this may be situational): No OR at the Natural Birth Center. Clients would be transferred to the Birthing Inn.
Lactaction consultants available: Yes, at the Birthing Inn.
Kitchen available: Full kitchen available with stove and oven, mini fridge in room as well.
Microwave available: Yes, in common area as full kitchen with stove and oven.
Typical discharge for vaginal birth: 48 hours (24 hours available if wanted)
Typical discharge for cesarean birth: 72 hours

Other Info: Rooms have heated towel bars, a birth sling above the tub, small seating area, TV, private bathrooms with large showers and seats in shower. Stunning space that gives you the feel of home with the safety net of having a hospital connected to it. Low risk births only! Mother’s are allowed to eat and drink as they feel but have to supply all food & drinks.
